Johannes was born in South Africa. He immigrated to Toronto in 1987, where he met and married his wife Juliet. After their son was born, the family moved back to South Africa where Johannes was involved in conducting national research for the government of Nelson Mandela. A daughter was born, and in 2003 the family returned to Canada and settled in Vancouver area. Johannes was ordained as an elder in 2013, and he serves on the speaking team at New Life Christian. He is passionate about sharing the Word of God and seeing people transformed by the gospel message. Johannes serves on the leadership team and is a facilitator for the DivorceCare program. He and his wife also lead and host a life group in their home. He enjoys gardening.
